I'll put it this way; A more globalized country has access not only to it's own resources, but has access to resources that have been realized by other countries and shared with the rest of the world. For example, the flow of technology throughout theworld, from the iPhone to health care equipment and medications is a form of globalization. As such, in most parts of the world, you will have access to resources that improve the quality of your life regardless of where they have been invtented. You will also have access to knowledge of ways to improve your life on your own, regardless of where they have been researched. When you are ill, your health care providers have access to technology that may not have been invented and manufactured in your native country, but elsewhere in the world, and may even be able to seek the expertise of people from other countries to treat you. That is, to put it simply, one way to look at the relationship between life expectancy and globalization index. Because globalization gives access to human, scientific, technological, financial and other resources to a more broad global platform. Your country can purchase equipment and hire experts and share or be give naccess to results of research. Economy plays a role in it all, but it all influences the quality of your life and thus the expectancy of it. Example: Africa is considerably less globalized, and many have no access to AIDS medications due to that. The life expectancy is greatly reduced due to that. IT applies for the basic health care facilities, vaccinations, and medications that treat the simplest conditions and that are available to the rest of the world easily.
