What is the Easiest language to learn?
For a native English speaker what is the most easy foreign language to learn?I imagine West Frisian. However, a list would be nice. Is Swedish easy enough? That's what I want to learn.ALSO another question that doesn't need answering but interested all the same Are Germanic languages easiest to learn for people who already speak a Germanic language?

How and why do Muslims move in such capacity to the Netherlands & Denmark with low knowledge of their language?
Now I know some Muslims may know some French or English. Maybe even some Dutch people know a little Arabic. Perhaps you can try juggling a few languages to survive. But how is a Muslim from North Africa or the Middle East or anywhere the Dutch language is spoken very little supposed to move to the Netherlands and work? Despite all the attention Muslims gets in terms of cultural clashing, the lingual aspect seems to not draw as much. I've also noticed somewhat high Muslim immigrant populations in Denmark and Norway. Their languages are probably even less popular where they are from.Do these governments have really good immersion programs or something? Why would you even want to move to a country that you'd be so limited in? Or do the Muslims learn their language before arriving? Even though German isn't commonly spoken in Northern Africa, it's a popular enough global language to learn before arriving. Maybe even Spanish too. But small languages seem very challenging. I know their children who are born and or raised there will speak it fine. But why make such a sacrifice when there are other countries you can move to for economic opportunity where you already know the language ex. France, UK, Canada .In the US though, Muslims have a success and educational rate higher than the average citizen or resident of our country. This is probably due to the fact we proportionally take less Muslims than most other western nations. Yet the ones we take are generally skilled.Victoria Geert Wilders is a controversial figure even among Dutch people. He's only one politician and is being threatened by other Dutch people to be thrown in jail. I don't think Muslims care for what he has to say.Victoria The only reason why I said the Dutch might learn some Arabic is because they do very well with foreign languages. It's like a national past time to them. Most speak degrees of English, German and French. But I know Arabic is a much different language. But there are plenty of native speaking teachers around.Victoria I don't know why you exclude what you're saying in California to just ''white folks.'' Many of those Latinos who move there actually are white themselves and other Americans and even including non Spanish speaking immigrants study it. Unfortunately, Americans take a lazy backseat approach and learn nothing more than scattered vocabulary. The only people who I've seen speak it well that aren't apart of an ethnicity that speaks Spanish are along the southwest border.
