i am mixed with indian calcutta frim my grandpa side on my mothers side im also mixed with syrian, jamaican, little chinese, maroon and i think cuban or puerto rican and some other stuff i cant remeber cause its from my dad side and i dont no him well anyways i want to learn hindi to get in touch with this culture since my grandpa didnt carry the language down any tips on learning this language i no its complicated but any tips wil be great. How to speak Hindi without an American accent?
I have been speaking Hindi as a native speaker but I have always had an American accent which I am trying to eliminate. Since I am a native speaker, I don't think I should have an American accent and people in India sometimes think I know very little Hindi. Any tips on losing my accent?
I'm forgetting how to speak Hindi, what can I do?
ever since me and my family moved to america from japan I've forgotten how to speak hindi. I know that sounds strange, but I am half japanese, part Indian and part Black. my grandmother and moms side is from India, and I used to talk to her in hindi all the time when she call us when we lived in japan. now I don't talk to her much anymore and I dont have anybody to speak hindi to. my mother prefers not to speak hindi and i dont know why. what should i do? i dont want to forget hindi. i have noone to speak to. now i am only speaking english and japanese.

I am very fascinated with Indian culture and I enjoy watching Bollywood movies. I plan on becoming multilingual someday, but would you consider these good reasons to heard Hindi? Some people say it's a bit unecessary to learn. Do you think I should pick another language instead?
