What is a random foreign language I could learn that would be cool? Where could I go to learn it?
Well obviously I know english. I want to learn spanish because it's spoke widely in america, and italian because it's sort of similar to spanish and my fiance is italian. I was also thinking french and dutch because I went to the virgin islands and they said that high school kids already know english, spanish, french and dutch. What's another random language I could learn, for fun? anything, something fun to speak and not too hard I still have to get really good learning these other languages.

Question to people who've taken foreign language classes in college?
Question to people who've taken foreign language classes in college?I signed up expecting to learn in class, this is a lecture class. However we were required to get a book as all college classes require and this book has basically EVERYTHING in the book online, even in audio and video forms. Our teacher for the language basically assigns us stuff from the online version of the book. That's it. She does SOME lectures, nothing that isn't already in the book online though. We do some group things but only every other week or so.Are all classes like this? This is basically an ONLINE class right?? All the work we do for the most part is online I was expecting more interaction, this is a beginner class. Am I wrong? I can't decide if I should drop this class or not. It's only been 6 classes so far and I don't feel like I've learned anything. The stuff we have learned I could have saved myself some money and time by going to About.comfrench.about.com Did you teachers require you to do your work online like this or was it more interactive?? Just feels like high school again for me I just sit there waiting for it to be over. Last day to drop is next week advice please Yes it is a class made to teach us the language, how to read, write and speak it.

Harrassment at work using Foreign languages?
I work for a company that verbally says you can't speak spanish unless you are on your breaks. However, I don't mind the use of the language but I notice some of them only use it when they are angry. I have been told by corporate they don't have it anywhere in the handbook that you can't speak a foreign language unless on breaks. However, the boss knows that it may irritate some people, so he now comes and speaks it to the spanish speaking people. If I use foul language to them they will report me because they understand me, but if they use it at me in spanish there is nothing I can do. I feel I am being harrassed and can't do anything about it any suggestions as to how to handle this situation? The individual that is using the language only use it when they are mad. You can tell they are slinging things, and the body language says it all. There is also one other spanish speaking employee that has even agreed that, when that individual speaks spanish they are being rude but want translate what they are saying and has even told the boss about it on several occassions.
